Switched (Trylle Trilogy, #1)
When Wendy Everly was six-years-old, her mother was convinced she was a monster and tried to kill her. It isn't until eleven years later that Wendy finds out her mother might've been telling the truth.

With the help of Finn Holmes, Wendy finds herself in a world she never knew existed - and it's one she's not sure if she wants to be a part of. (Summary from Goodreads)

My Thoughts: Finn kind of creeped me out at the beginning but I soon came to like him. This was a very different book than I've read before and I liked the differentness. There was a bit of a cliffhanger at the end and I can't wait for the next book to come out.

Promise (Soul Savers, #1)
Alexis Ames has a life full of promise…but not all promises can be kept.

When Alexis Ames is attacked by creatures that can’t be real, she decides it’s time she learns who she really is, with or without the help of her mother, who guards their family’s secrets closely. After meeting the inhumanly attractive, multi-talented Tristan Knight, however, Alexis retreats behind her façade of normalcy…until she discovers he’s not exactly normal either. Then their secrets begin to unravel.

Their union brings hope and promise to her family’s secret society, the Angels’ army, and to the future of mankind. But it also incites a dangerous pursuit by the enemy – Satan’s minions and Tristan’s creators. After all, Alexis and Tristan are a match made in Heaven and in Hell. (Summary from Goodreads)

My Thoughts: I really liked this book. I read this one pretty quick. It was hard to put down. I loved Tristan and how he was with Alexis. Their relationship went kind of slow and I liked that.  I can't wait until the next book comes out!! There are a couple F-bombs and a sex scene, so if you don't want to read about that pass this one, but if you don't mind that kind of stuff definitely pick this one up!

Mockingjay (Hunger Games, #3)"My name is Katniss Everdeen. Why am I not dead? I should be dead."

Katniss Everdeen, girl on fire, has survived, even though her home has been destroyed. Gale has escaped. Katniss's family is safe. Peeta has been captured by the Capitol. District 13 really does exist. There are rebels. There are new leaders. A revolution is unfolding.

It is by design that Katniss was rescued from the arena in the cruel and haunting Quarter Quell, and it is by design that she has long been part of the revolution without knowing it. District 13 has come out of the shadows and is plotting to overthrow the Capitol. Everyone, it seems, has had a hand in the carefully laid plans -- except Katniss.

The success of the rebellion hinges on Katniss's willingness to be a pawn, to accept responsibility for countless lives, and to change the course of the future of Panem. To do this, she must put aside her feelings of anger and distrust. She must become the rebels' Mockingjay -- no matter what the personal cost. (Summary from Goodreads)

My Thoughts: What a great ending to this series!! I've seen a lot of mixed reviews about it and I am on the side that really liked it. I am glad there was no fairy tale ending. I am a little disappointed that I didn't see more from a couple characters but I kind of understand why that was. I would definitely recommend this series. I hope we'll hear more from Ms. Collins in the future!

My Thoughts: Yay, more Peter!! There is more action in this one. A lot of fighting. A couple things get resolved but not everything and I am hoping there are many more books to come! This has become one of my favorite writers. Definitely worth checking out.

My Thoughts: Another great read. I am really liking this series. This one has some pretty good action in it. I'm still torn between Peter and Jack. :) I'm liking Milo and her interactions with him.

Fate (My Blood Approves, #2)Alice Bonham thinks she's finally found a balance in her life between the supernatural and real life with her brother Milo. Jack - her sorta vampire boyfriend - keeps her at arm's length to keep her safe. As for his brother Peter... she's not sure where he's at, or what he wants with her. Worse still, she's not even sure what she wants with Peter.

When tragedy happens, Alice finds herself struggling with a terrible choice. Her decision has consequences that reach farther than she'd ever imagined... (Summary from Goodreads)

My Thoughts: I liked this one just as much as the first. I really like Jack but I am kind of drawn to Peter. We didn't see much of him in this book and I wanted more. I can't wait to read the next one.

My Blood Approves (My Blood Approves, #1)
Seventeen-year-old Alice Bonham's life feels out of control after she meets Jack. With his fondness for pink Chuck Taylors and New Wave hits aside, Jack's unlike anyone she's ever met.

Then she meets his brother, Peter. His eyes pierce through her, and she can barely breathe when he's around. Even though he can't stand the sight of her, she's drawn to him.

But falling for two very different guys isn't even the worst of her problems. Jack and Peter are vampires, and Alice finds herself caught between love and her own blood... (Summary from Goodreads)

My Thoughts: It seems that all the books I read lately I can't put down. I read this one straight through. It reminded me a little of Twilight, which I enjoyed, at first then it spun off to something totally different. I love the triangle. I am rooting for Peter, I don't know why exactly, but I am liking him more than Jack. I am glad that 4 books are out already! On to the next one.

Infinite Days (Vampire Queen, #1)Lenah Beaudonte is, in many ways, your average teen: the new girl at Wickham Boarding School, she struggles to fit in enough to survive and stand out enough to catch the eye of the golden-boy lacrosse captain. But Lenah also just happens to be a recovering five-hundred-year-old vampire queen. After centuries of terrorizing Europe, Lenah is able to realize the dream all vampires have -- to be human again. After performing a dangerous ritual to restore her humanity, Lenah entered a century-long hibernation, leaving behind the wicked coven she ruled over and the eternal love who has helped grant her deep-seated wish.

Until, that is, Lenah draws her first natural breath in centuries at Wickham and rediscovers a human life that bears little resemblance to the one she had known. As if suddenly becoming a teenager weren’t stressful enough, each passing hour brings Lenah closer to the moment when her abandoned coven will open the crypt where she should be sleeping and find her gone. As her borrowed days slip by, Lenah resolves to live her newfound life as fully as she can. But, to do so, she must answer ominous questions: Can an ex-vampire survive in an alien time and place? What can Lenah do to protect her new friends from the bloodthirsty menace about to descend upon them? And how is she ever going to pass her biology midterm? (Summary from Goodreads)

My Thoughts: This was different than most vampire books out there and I liked the change. It was pretty fast paced, another one that I couldn't put down. It had a pretty good twist at the end and I can't wait for the next one to come out!!
